Also, if you like podcasts, check out this additive podcast I produced for a story about bisexual erasure and invisibility as a part of Eugene Weekly’s Pride issue. Read the story and listen to the podcast in the link.

Not Just Black and White | eugeneweekly.com

I also wrote a review about Kathryn Bigelow’s new movie, Detroit, from the point of view of a Black person who doesn’t enjoy watching Black people suffer on-screen.

I Hart Eugene | eugeneweekly.com

Here’s a story I wrote after talking to Hannah Hart of “My Drunk Kitchen” fame about her new Food Network show, “I Hart Food,” as a part of Eugene Weekly’s Pride issue.

Journalism Things!!

Wow. I should really start posting on here again!

I’m gonna post some fun journalism things I wrote/created this week!

Also reminder: I am literally never on here anymore, so follow me on instagram (yoyo_byebye) or Twitter (@meerahpowell)!

I had to put on fake eyelashes yesterday for grad photos and it was hard
I feel like today is literally the first day in 5 years I haven’t worn winged eyeliner lmao does that make me an adult now? (Don’t get me wrong, I’ll probably go right back to it tomorrow)
Life update: Yesterday Sam and I took a random trip to Bend and it was super fun. I graduated college a few months ago but don’t walk in the ceremony until next month. I’m working a full-time job in my field (journalism!) at an alt-weekly newspaper...
